i think that's freak, as in a freak incident. i ran the stock coils without spacers, with spacers, with coiul retainers and flexed the crap out of them on a constant basis for years and years and never, ever snapped a coil, ever. i think it's a climate-related issue or a possible lot number-related issue, as in, a bad batch of coils made at some point and used for a few years here and there could have resulted in coil spring breakage over these years, but who knows? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />
