They came out with this new design that is suppost to solve the leaking issue the old design had. Has anyone done the install yet with this newly designed coupler? Marlin doesn't have any install instructions written up yet and I got a little lost with the instructions over the phone. I remember something about removing a bearing.

Mike Caskey at Off Road Solutions might be a good independent source of info on that. I know he had to do a major road trip with a truck and trailer and retrieved a customer from the upper midwest who had a failure with the first design, so if that has been fixed he would most certainly know.

Not to mention, that kind of customer service deserves MAJOR KUDOs!!!

Thanks Bill, I thought about calling Mike but I hated to bother him about something he didn't sell me. I bother him enough about other stuff <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />. I finally got through to Dave at Marlin yesterday and he got me straighted out (I hope). Dave is a good man. I'd still like to know if anyone has tried this newly designed coupler yet.
