Toyota century? I had to look that one up. What an interesting motor. Looks like another copy and improvement on a U.S. design, just like the Land Cruiser F series motors.

It almost looks like they put Corola heads on an aluminum Chevy 350 style block. I wonder how much power it made?

Stock was 300+ if I remember correctly. The Century was a mid-80's Limo-type vehicle that Toyota made in Japan only, I beleive. One of the guys @ Fly-N-Hi put one in an 85 Toy pickup back in the late 80's early 90's. It's a darned nice engine. Only thing I didn't like about his swap was the lack of EFI.

As a person who's done a 3.8 Buick swap and a 4.3, I'd never do anyhting but a 3.4. Yeah, the 4.3 seems fast in the van (I used an Astro engine), but in the pickup is a different story. go 3.4.

They still make the Century, except now it comes with a 5.0L DOHC V12. As per the "gentleman's agreement" it's only rated at 320HP, but you know it's good for more.
