I want to keep my 5 sp, so I would have to use an adapter to the tranny. But what about the room up front? Do you have enough room for the radiator up front and how's the cooling?

Uh... I would not recommend putting a V6, let alone a built V8 in front of a G or W series tranny. If you want to keep a Toy tranny, put in an R151 or R150 - anything else will grenade quickly.

Keep in mind, the conversion parts to keep a toy tranny will run $600+

As to the other comments on keeping it toyota. The 3.4 is a real expensive engine to find. I can find an early 90's mustang with low miles for less than a grand and aftermarket parts are everywhere for the 5.0. The 3.4, from what I have found, has a supercharger and headers and that's it. I can get the same horsepower out of the 5.0 with a better cam, intake, and exhaust for less money. And since I will be overpowering the vehicle, the engine won't have to work hard meaning it will last me longer and just as good of fuel economy as a supered 3.4.

As you mentioned, there are a lot of go-fast parts for the 5.0, and it's a great engine (the only V8 I would personally swap into a Toy, sans maybe the LS1). You can get 310HP out of a 3.4, but you are correct, it's not cheap.

I'd say go with an R151 or a Worldclass t5 if you want a 5speed, or swap in an auto w/ toy tcase.
