I gotta give the guy his props though, that is some impressive work. Most people think WE are crazy for sinking soo much money into an old beat up truck. They don't see the potential that we do. And I guess in this case, we just don't see the upside to this Joyota or XToy or whatever he calls it. And that shop is SWEET.

Getting the Wheeling Fever

This guy is a buddy of mine. He's got quite a bit of talent. He didn't want to scrap his Jeep axles since he's gotten some money tied in them. The rear axle is the weak one and he understands that. He just wanted a cheap project. He got the truck for cheap.

I like it! I'm not that concerned that he invested too much time or money, or that he didn't choose the absolutly best parts available. I think he inspires me to work on a coil spring suspension for my toyota and build a beefier frame to replace the rust magnet that came with my truck from tthe factory. -- Matt

very interesting....Although he should have found a cheap old...mmmm...something with a bigger engine compartment would be a start "Man I gotta go set my valves, anyone want to help me pull this body off so I can pull my valve cover" I was really digging the engineering and buildup until he cramed that rectangle into a square hole

Unique. That's for sure! I never could understand why anyone would want to keep the D35 though! But, I have a couple XJ buddies that still run them, cause they have 4 more in the back yard!

Wow now that's some siamese afterbirth! I kinda think it's cool and for some folks money and time is not a problem I guess. Definately a head turner that will get a conversation started with. Pesonally I like to keep them separated so I can use them both. If I ever wrecked both my RN65 and my XJ in the same week I'd keep them separated and repair both. It's gotta suck to share an engine with you connected twin.

That's a heck of alot of work to not have a toy wheeler Would think one would be $'s and definately hours ahead to just part it out and build up a toy, but I know how these projects happen It's also why one needs to have a buddy around to tell you when you have one of these ideas, you should put your head in the vice, and keep tightening it until the idea goes away.
