After last week's trip to Mineral Wells, my trooper's first off road trip, it's started squeeking and making a lot of noise when I get into it or rock it back and forth. The ride is unaffected so I don't think I broke anything. Anything I can check out before I take it to the mechanic? Coould driving through the water and getting stuck in the sand have washed way needed lubrication?

I wouldn't think that getting stuck would do it, but maybe driving through all that water. You may have take a day and lube everything and check the cv boots for any tears. You may also have to add grease to those.

Body Damage is Cool
More than likley you got some sand or mud up in your spspension. I know it will get between the leaf springs on my truck and she will grown and maor for a few days but it clears up. Just clean up under there and see what u got. U don't wait to have to pay a mechanic diag time just to tell u there is nothng wrong with it lol.

I was hoping it was just some dirt but since it is now going on two weeks since the trip I would think it was out by now. Plus the noise seems to be coming from the front passenger side.

I took a quick look and it does look like the cv boot has torn or seperated. It was getting dark and I didn't have a light with me so I'm not sure. I'll have to search on how to fix that. It may be cheaper to get my mechanic to do it if you figure in the cost of tools and my time. Not to mention most of my repairs finish up with me taking it to the garage and saying "I tried to do this...can you fix what I did?"
