This is the next step on my project "Black Beauty" and I'm just wanting to be ready for the install.

Did you guys have to do anything with the steering, brake lines or the shifter?

Need a Spot
Made my own 2" body lift out of UHMW poly.
Went smoothly but I had to grind the firewall around the steering shaft, but didn't have to lenghten it.
Shifter had to be bent (actually ended up cutting and rewelding) to make shifting into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. I also had to remove one layer of the 3 layers of shifter boots.
Brake lines and fuel filler were fine.
After a couple months I ended up lowering my rad with some sheet metal brackets.

Steering and shifter yes, brake lines just sort of uncoil:

I also built my own out of 2.75"x2" UHMW poly. 2.75" dia. was the max I could fit. As for everything else: Steering shaft had enough slip. No grinding or anything else needed. Had to drop the rad and the brake hard line that mounts to the passenger side firewall 2". That is all. Went like a piece of cake. Oh almost forgot. Shifter boots want to pull the truck out of 2nd gear so I had to make a new boot. I just turned the inner black rubber one upside down and put it back in and you will need a new upper. Gets very hot/cold in the cab (depending on weather) as well as noisy/dirty with out the boot. This was on a '93 V6.

Does anyone have pics of the shifter area like the grinding or boot modifications?
