So here is how i solved my problem... I did what i originally said i was going to do. I cut the shackle hangers and the front spring mounts off and moved them forward 3 inches. It was much more difficult than i had expected, and a lot more time consuming as well. I really wanted to do this right, and not half ass it though. So here are some pictures.. And one question...

Ok to my question...

I now have these 3 inch long fangs sticking out of the front of my truck. They are 1/2 inch plate, so i know they will hold up to the stress.

I am trying to figure out a way to make that front look a little more pleasing to the eye. Do any of you all have any suggestions? Perhaps some Photoshop work would be good?
