SMiley, thanks for the drawing, i really dig that look. Im just getting some ideas of what i want to do with it. Trying to avoid having to make any bends. But i think it will end up looking something similar to your drawing.
I really like the idea of stretching the body out. That would be really cool, and make more room for a LT1 or 4BT down the road, i think that would be way more work than i am willing to tackle though.
Thanks for the replies..
Peace

I've been thinking about the body stretch and I've come to the conclusion that it might not be all that difficult to accomplish. That is; cut up the factory fenders and rearrange the pieces and use some sort of filler (fiberglass, plaster, etc) in order to make a fiberglass mold. It wouldn't be as cheap as buying premade panels, but still cheaper than professional metalwork. Best of all you can keep the mold and easily replace broken panels.
Of course ideas come easy when it's someone else's money <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That is; cut up the factory fenders and rearrange the pieces and use some sort of filler (fiberglass, plaster, etc) in order to make a fiberglass mold. Its not as easy as you might think. DanielT researched (and did) making extended flare panels out of 'glass for his Trooper. He is a fiberglass'er by trade and I think he was surprised by the amount of time he had in those fenders. Even once you have the mold, its gonna take many sets to recoupe the effort and the interest just isn't there. -Rob
