Thank you Michael. Now I understand the problem.

So, if I break a "rod" on a trail, then, to fix it, I'll need to dis-assemble / re-assemble the whole R&P <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> On the trail <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

One other thing...although still possible, the breakage on teh 2nd gen tie-rods seems to be very minimal to those of 1st gens. From what I understand Peter(PPlotz on here) broke before his trip to Colorado Zu this year, but only once before. He is running 35's and from what I saw, isn't exactly easy on the truck.

So, although the chances Seem to be less likely to break then a 1st gen it is possilble. A good fix(at least to get off the trail) is to learn how to stick weld, and carry a coupld of jumper cables and batteries(if you wheel alone) Then some extra metal that can be welded in place. This is how they fixed Peter in Colorado and it worked pretty well. I know Sweater has pics of it if you are curious.
