Lordy those things look solid. If I were planning on keeping the IFS perminantly, I'd definately grab a set. Well done!

nice write-up Bob, but I think you Rodeo guys have a bit more room to start with.

stock tierod assembly barely clears my ProComp shocks as is. I don't anticipate the uber-beef parts from Matt to fit in that same space except with the Edelbrock upside-down shocks.

Body Damage is Cool
fyi....pro comp has a "slim" body shock that i have been sending out for the 1st gen troops............eliminates any issue.

the skyjackers are def fatter...and may cause a little issue, but there is always a fix for everything.

Nice looking product Matt!!

For the 1st gen Amigo guys, maybe this will show what you will end up with, space wise:

http://lttlbddy.com/albums/MyAmigo/tierods/

These are full bodied Ranchos and I have about the same clearance as with the stock TRs. Not sure if mine are the same diameter as the Independant4x product.

You can see where the stock TRs were contacting the shock body. No dent but just enough to scrape the paint. I have seen NO additional damage since going to the beefier tie rod.

I did NOT have to relocate the shock mount either.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I got mine installed when I put the 3.4 into the '91 last week. I, too, was worried they would rub on the stock shock as the clearance is nil. But, I've been driving it, and turning it tight, etc., and there hasn't been any contact with the shocks. They will do just fine out in the rocks.

Actually we had a few left over in the big cooler, so Chad, Randy and I worked on those Sunday... with our steaks we grilled

You need to drive your Trooper up this weekend and tow Chris's rig to BMRA so he can enter the MegaRun competition.

Check out the Trailrides section for more info.

Installed mine today! Went in great just need an alignment now. Once again, great product Matt. Plenty of clearance with shocks on second gen trooper.
