ive checked my control cable and valve for smooth operation and or clogs, flushed out my entire cooling system, flushed the heater core and water flowed very free and clear, i have a toyota t-stat w/ the 1/4" hole in it.... the fan motor works perfect, new anti-freeze.... still cold!!!
anything i am overlooking?
my last 4runner had the same issues.

I'm always having to turn down the temp on mine, it's like an oven so something must be up with yours.

Toyotas came with a standard thermostat and you can usually go warmer. My 3.0 came with a 180 degree and I just swapped in a 192 I think and it helped. Place some cardboard in front of the rad and see if that helps some.

Cardboard won't help him out; he's in Kali. He needs to fix his system.

Fire it up to temp, shut off. Lightly touch fins with fingers; cool spots are clogs. It's a place to start at least.

Also make sure your t'stat is installed the right way.

Radiator. Well, last resort before tearing into the heater core is to see if the blower resistor is still okay. Junkyard or dealer for under $20. I think the p/n is in the sticky.

The Comanche had a terrible heater in it and it gets fairly cold in Reno in the winter. I didn't know what the problem was but my father spliced a hose fitting into the heater hose line and then we disconnected the other heater hose. I was shocked at how much crud came out! The heater worked a lot better after that too and it was about as cheap of a repair as you can get.
