DANA 35 TRACK LOCK diff. #675508 12/09/05 06:34 PM

I found a sticker wrapped around the axel near the brake drum. It had 3.07 TRACK LOCK details on it. Question is, is 3.07 the ratio of the diff? Also since it has a rubber plug i assume its a Dana 35. Is this diff just as weak as the basic 35?
Cheers

Sweethart the only way to KNOW what ratio is in there is to twist the driveshaft 3.07 times and the tire turns zackly ONE TIME... Until you do a test you WILL NOT KNOW! After doing the test you will be positive about what gears you have.

BigJim is correct the only way to know for sure is to check, it is prob a 3.07:1 gear ratio, that ratio was offered in the Jeeps with auto transmitions.

It is most likely a Dana35, and yes it is a weak as any other Dana35C, although it isn't usually the carrier that is the problem, usually the axle shafts break first. In addition if the jeep has more that 40K miles the limited slip (Track loc) is probaly useless too.
