My interpetation:

Turns over = Put the key in, turn it, starter moves, pistons move, lack of fuel, air, or spark prevents it from starting.

Cranks = It runs.

Thats basically the way I understand it.

The guy said there was spark at the plug which means its probably a fuel problem. Maybe the timing belt which could be problems, or a crack in the block which is bug problem. Sided it went for almost 1k.
