Early (zero gen) troopers from 84-86 had that same kind of suspension. A lower control arm with a tie rod and some funky kind of link. Looks like a weak offroad setup, but come to think of it, it did win four wheeler of the year... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> so who knows. I think they changed it all when they went to the 10 bolt fronts.
