Update, Ran cmpression check on her. #1,3,4 would get up to 170 psi, While # 2 wouldnt get past 50 psi. Pulled the cover and none were visibly sticking. Not sure what to do next. I am stuck. I took a bunch of pix but not sure they will show anyhing.

Help Please, any ideas?

Well, I removed exhaust manifold after finally towing it home. Got most of the interior cover bolts out. Some are in there good. Gonna try to get other side disconnected tonight so I can take a look at the valves.

Am I going in the right direction?

Could have a blown head gasket. The jet valve heads are also known for cracking. Last time I looked at mine it had six. Still runnin <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />.

Nice write up. I am gonna take to mechanic today. Got some rusted exhaust bolts I cant get off and running out of time. Trying to rebuild after I get home from work is killing me. Dont know how long Dad can lend me his car and will be in Alabama next week.

OK, went by mechanic to check out damage. Pistons/Rings look good. No scarring on the walls, headgasket looked good, valves look good - would open and close when turn the crack, no visible cracks - didnt have time to clean up head yet but...

I guess I am gonna go ahead and try to get Clearwater head since it is apart. Hate to put it back together and have same issue.

Stumped the mech and me.

Clean the area between the valves and jet valves well. That's where they crack.
