Too late. In my impatience I've now almost finished the job. I got some 20 year old standard vehicle gutter mount roof racks and removed the clips, tek screwed 'em straight onto the the side of the roof just behind the rubber seal above the door. The weight is supported by the gutter, the screws only stop it flying off. Got a second hand basket, about 4' x 5' which is now painted black and drying in the garage. Got the racks from my Grandad for nuthin, the rest from a recycling yard for a total of AU$36.00. Once finished I plan on possibly attempting a suspension lift, depending on my inspiration and if I can sneak it in whilst the missus isn't looking.
