I'll keep being the ones to defend the auto's because mine keep going strong.

If you are gonna throw new bearings in, use a good high-quality red wheel bearing grease and clean everything extremely well before reassembling, put new seals in everything, VERY VERY lightly grease the internals of the lockout hubs becasue if you can put in wheel bearings you can easily "rebuild" (take apart, clean, and reassemble) the auto lockoout hubs.

I've yet to have any problems regardless of the cold or conditions since i did that to my front end.

BUt if you would rather spend another $100 on some lockouts that you have to get in and out of your new vehicle to engage, then go ahead.
