Just from looking at pictures it appears the bolt pattern is different, Tranny to bellhousing. The AX 5 has a 1" 14 spline input shaft so the clutch would not swap. I thought the Jeep had a 207 Transfer case in it. Are you sure it's a 231? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Yessireee, Says NP231J on the round ID plate on the back case half. It may not be original, I cannot vouch for what was in it OEM. I just know what is in it now.
