The tail pipe is functional. If you stall in water deeper than the exhaust manifolds your going to have to pull the plugs when you get it towed out, even with a snorkel. It is ugly though, <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />.

I was thinking about making one that was removable. But with the new truck I am just going to keep it out of the water.

All those extra doodads would get broken off in the woods here where i wheel. those fenders would last all of a mile or so <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" /> the trails are TIGHT. and a light bar.. not good for the trees. Out where he lives that truck is the Shiznit... Wide open spaces <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Overall very nice! I think the exhaust snorter is too far outboard. I'd try tio get it part way up on the inside maybe, then come out once it is clear of the rear door. His roll cage might be in the way for that though...

it seems like just a hell of a lot of stuff bolted on.

Most of us have all bolt on mods. ARB locker, bolt on. Snorkel, bolt on. ARB Bumper, weld on. Where is your 100% fabricated rock buggy? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I see a lot of "bolt on stuff" that he adapted from other makes and models.

I think it is an awesome truck, the fenders are my favorite!!!

UMM.. i think you missed the point.

taking an already slow truck and adding (whether bolted, welded, or stuck on with bubble gum) 2,000 lbs of additional crap to the outside of it does not = better off road.

I'm not saying the guy, or the truck sucks. I'm saying it's not elegant, I'm saying it looks almost clunky.

is it cool? yeah. would it be a lot cooler if the enhancements shared some synergy with the vehicle's inherent strengths and perhaps had a more minimal approach? f yeah.

I'm not just saying this from a style angle, I mean that big stuff on the outside would all get trashed on the trails I'm used to running. the steps would last one morning, the fender flares would last one mile, and the lights on top wouldn't even last one trail.

EXACTLY <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

it is a LITTLE more useful then a lifted 2wd <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Honestly Eric, I didn't think you had a point. Please excuse me from failing to extract all of that wisdom from your one line comment above. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> And since the guy isn't wheeling the trails you wheel I still don't think you have a point.

Super Swampers would probably also be a pretty stupid choice for you (or me, for that matter). But that doesn't mean they're not a good choice for somebody else's rig.

I really like the front winch bumper with extra batteries, the rear door tire carrier, and the roof rack, for style & function.

come on guys... its hugging christmas!!! you know peace, joy, brotherly love... cant we all just get along? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />
as for that dudes rig, sure its decked out and theres probably a lack of function in certain applications due to it. but, its still nice to see another yoked out raider <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />. btw, at least he didnt post it up on a curb to show off his massive flex like that one clown did who really liked somebodys gauges <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />!

I have one thing to say about the cage, I wonder if it could have went through the back of the dash instead of going around it.

That may not even possible in these rigs, but I really like other cage jobs that I have seen where they have take off the dash and cut holes in it so the cage could go down through assembly. You get a tube with less bends in it, and you won't be smacking you knees into it.

I didn't even notice that he installed extra batteries into the bumper, I never even thought of that!!! That would be an awesome way to get another battery or two into my genII. There isn't much room under the hood for a second battery, but if you installed batter boxes into the bumper that would work awesome.

I guess the one concern is a short if you get into an accident.
