I've been trying to figure out a way to run my exhaust up and out through the vent behind the rear windows. I just don't know how to do it without causing serious problems.
Maybe if I had access to GMs hydroforming stuff I could make a double wall pipe, formed to fit. You should see what they're doing with that technology on the new Corvette. It's pretty cool.

Shouldn't the exhaust be fairly cool by the time it gets to the rear? My exhaust isn't exactly intact all the way so I can't tell on the Raider, but on other vehicles it's definately warm, but I don't feel a 1st degree coming on.

Over time, it would just get hotter and hotter. Probably enough to get you in serious trouble by touching the pipe momentarily.
Nice looking rig!

I'm just saying that touching the tailpipe isn't like the touching the manifold.

For any type of wheeling, besides wide open fields, that exhaust is not "the best" solution.
It probably impresses people at the mall though.
Two MRI's and a CAT scan....it's confirmed. I'm just not right in the head.

It probably impresses people at the mall though You see a lot like that in the Rainforest Challange and that is no mall parking lot. About exaust heat. One of my hangers broke near the gas tank a few months back. I tied it up with some rope I had in the back. The next day it was down. Thinking I did not tie the knot good, I tied it really good. The next day the ropes were not holding the exaust on, they burned off. This was next to the fuel tank. It does get hot back there.

On my 3.5 is gets unusually hot at the back- can't figure it out with new cat and everything runnning right. Seems the like muffler acts like a holding point for alot of heat - floor board gets very hot around there. I measure it once and it was around 130F. Hopefully the carpet has a high flashpoint
Nice work - really like your tire carrier system. You should start taking orders
