I guess I didn't phrase my post in such away to attract any interest. Oh Well ! I think I found the problem. Sure sounds like a dry bearing and today while it was starting to make noise I decided to climb under it and felt of the drive shaft for heat and found both areas front and back of the carrier bearing (mines 2WD) was hot. It's only the carrier bearing I think. GREAT ! How hard is that? Can't be too difficult...not as bad as any of the rear end work, I'm sure.

What is the source of those pdf's anyway. Can I buy a whole manual? Didn't you have a CD version or something?
