It sounds to me like you made your engine happy. What you don't want to hear is a choppy sound (think of clapping your hands at high speed) or a loud roar when the throttle is opened.

A popping sound can mean misfire but can also mean the exhaust gasses are trying to go two directions, the "pop" is when they meet in the middle.

It takes energy to make noise, energy is power that should be taking you down the road.

The best sound of all is a deep throaty sound at lower to mid RPM....*EB
