That's interesting, what size tires and how much lift do you have? I've got a donor Taco that's completely stock and I can see that being a problem with it. I guess I could jack the truck up to get clearance? With my 4-5" lifted 93 with 33's I can't see that being a problem though.


No way you'll get it out from under the Taco...

I've used it on many vehicles:
87 4Runner; 3" lift and 33's
94 4Runner; 4" lift and 33's
86 xcab, 4-5" lift and 35's

I've always removed the tcase(s) and tranny as a unit. The bellhousing is part of the problem when doing it this route. I've had to have someone help me get it under the vehicle in all cases, and w/ the lower trucks, I've put the tranny/tcase(s) on the jack UNDER the vehicle.

If you can afford a tranny jack (6-10x the price of the adapter), you'll likely be happy. For me, I'm not willing to spend that much $$ when the adapter works w/ some frustration.
