...a month later symptoms- rough idle and intermittant stalling when put into neutral- have returned and the "check engine" light is beckoning.

The symptoms were constant- as was the light- for 3 days. Today? No light and no symptoms.

A little help over here pleeease!??

TIA

sounds like a classic intake manifold gasket problem

It can come and go depending on the leak.

Lovely...I had both replaced while under warranty a year and change ago.

When I had the check engine light and symptoms checked a couple of months back the EGR valve was replaced and all was well. Whats up with that?

Are you getting a bank one or two lean code?

If so then the lower intake manifolds are most likely the problem.

I dropped off @ my mechanics this morning. Not equipped to know what the codes were, but your money is on the blown gasket?

had the same problem here. replaced intake manifold, and then had that replaced a year later, just barely under warrantee from the first repair. then a couple of weeks later had vacuum leak repaired. that was last december a year ago.. been using sea foam in gasoline every couple thousand miles since, and havent had a problem. keeping my fingers crossed tho.

The new part number is a newer part number and is not prone to the cracking. I don't know when the new part number came out. But, if I'm not mistaken it's got a 538 in it.

I would still get the codes pulled. You never know. There have been times where I ruled things out based on coincidence and was wrong.

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.
