Nice write up!!

My '86 that I JUST bought has a starter kill switch and a hood lock. There's a little black box with a red LED and a key lock. I was told it didn't work when I bought the truck but I got news for the guy, it does work.

Here's a dorky idea.
How about rigging up a voice recognition to at delay on relay that allows you to start the car if you say the right thing, just don't get laringytus (sp?)

When I lived in downtown Baltimore, I'd pull my ignition fuse from under the hood. Radios are more easily replaceable than the whole truck. Just my two cents.

Body Damage is Cool
I keep a HUGE hardended steel padlock on my clutch pedal. Bought it from a Clatsop County wherehouse sale. I think they were forest service gate locks or something, weigh a few pounds each. Bullet proof and have odd shaped cylinder keys.
It's a mechanical backup to the silent pager alarm and fuel pump cutoff switch.
Thieves can get through anything given enough time but this will definitly slow them down.
I better not ever catch them in the act. I'd get to see a thief try and pick up teeth with broken fingers.
