Was it just me or did they not put any flex pics of that TJ. I think they should have. It would have been more appealing to everyone I think.

Why hasn't Jeep completely ditched the D35 and 30? They didn't improve on the TJ design like they could have. Where is the Hemi and/or CRD option? They made it wider and slightly longer, but only gave us 10 more hp and 5 more lb-ft. of torque! The slanted grill makes it look like a Liberty and the fenders are hideous. The one thing that looks interesting is the electrically detachable sway bars.

Unfortunately most jeeps will remain stock there whole lives and the heaviest off-roading will see a dirt trail to someoneÆs house. Jeep knows this and keeps there cost down by using a cheap rear end. I say there cost because they get to mark up there price like Harley does. The stock rear end is just fine for a stock jeep. Only when you start adding lots of lift and bigger tires is it useless. Until jeeps are actually purchased for off-roading and not because they are cute or masculine or whatever some idiot kid thinks he looks good in it, will jeeps come superiorly equipped from the factor stock without fancy options.

Isn't that the truth. I don't disagree with you at all; only 10% or less will see serious off roading. I only want the option of a bigger engine. They have a Hemi option for everything else in the DaimlerChrysler barn, why not one for the Wrangler?

P.S. The interior looks like it was designed by a VW Beetle engineer.

The thing isn't even on the lots yet. Like all mfrs, they add stuff to the model line down the road to make the vehicle more appealing when the initial sales spikes taper off. To bring people back in the dealers. If I had a dime for every time I heard "I wish they had that option when I bought mine"

I'm sure hoping for that! The current press releases have no mention of performance improvement, but hopefully (fingers crossed in hope) something wonderful will happen in the future.

as the jeeps get newer they're less and less of what i want in a 4x4. i'll never buy one newer than a yj, i'd rather jack up a geo. they look like one inside anyway. for what they cost versus what they'll do versus what you'll break in the proscess, what junk. the only options we've ever wanted were axles and a hemi, and all they give us is crap about a hurricane that's never going into production, smaller engines, unibodys and marketing gallore.

94 yj 456gears, detroit locker and 30 spline axles out back, 33" bfgs
