Interesting that they still keep the w/s frame pads and strap bracket on this thing with out the hinges... and I would have to agree, this looks more and more like a socker kid mom's lawn toy. I didn't really read this entire thread or everything about the 07 Wrangler... but did hear someone say they hadn't ever seen a YJ or TJ with the W/S down. Welp, here are some pictures of mine. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of folks around that old town to take pictures of me in it, so you'll have to see the ones that I could get out of the Jeep to take them myself. They YJ has the tamper-proof torx bolts on the bars up by the "sport bar" that if you take a 5/16" punch and a hammer and a pair of needlenosed pliars out with the top off, you can render these bolts normal torx bolts, the front side ones that go into the w/s frame are tricky, even and steady pressure or their heads will break off, replace them as soon as you get them out.... Anyway, after takeing them off, the Jeeps come with these little straps to hold them down just inside the door-jam where there are little brackets for the straps to go through.... How many folks actually care enough to find these things? At least 1, my daughter pointed out where these things were one day when I had the carpet out for it's yearly bath. I think she was 7 at the time....

So, hope the image thing works today... wasn't earlier... here are some snazzy country-side pics of my Jeep with the top and W/S down. One thing that I have researched is that you have to have two usable & fixed mirrors and wear "driving" glasses/goggles when you travel on the road.
