I looked into the double row chain kit from LC when I purchased my adjustable cam gear, I think it's really intended for real high lift cams that run dual or triple valve springs.

But I do recall reading that their kit includes a new modified early timing cover which has been shortened to fit the later blocks (shorter deck height than the early blocks)

I think the only advantage would be less overall chain stretch and just extends the chain replacement intervals.

If you get hold of a adjustable timing gear for the single row like I did, you can compensate for the chain stretching which makes the valve timing run late. As long as the chain is kept snug it won't break, but if the chain stretches beyond the tensioner travel, then the chain will run sloppy and eventually break.

But you could spend the money elsewhere, like gas for a month.
