You will get a vacuum leak. The purpose is to idle up the engine when you are turning (like into a parking place) at low speeds. Mine started to leak and the fluid was being sucked into the intake, what was not being burned was washing past the rings and into the crankcase. When I changed the oil there was about two quarts extra in the CC. I will bet there is no sludge in my engine. I took it off and broke the plastic body off of it and brazed it up to make a plug out of it. Capped off the two vacuum lines and all is good.
