Actually a number of stock axles use dual-cardan style joints. I know the (mog?) Portals that the Littles run has em, and I believe those sharp turning New Holland Tractor axles Randy Torbett runs have em too. They are actually fairly common in heavy equipment, just not in lighter duty vehicles.

BTW, those Longfield D60 CV's came up in a discussion with some friends tonight. One just happened to have a magazine with a little blurb about em. $2000 a piece <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> Thanks, but I'll stick with whats been proven to work under hard abuse.
