For a sami buggy I'd say a well built 44 should be enough. I'm running a 44 on my amigo, and have an identical one waiting to go into the buggy. Alloys and CTMs and I'll have few worries. That 35spline 44 seems kinda silly to me, you have to use 60 inner and outer knuckles, as well as custom axles and a semi custom locker. Only real benifit is a lighter smaller pumpkin. Kind of an expensive PITA way to get ground clearance IMHO.
