Kind of like years ago, I took my first Toyota to the Oldsmobile/Toyota <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> dealer in my little town to have the front wheel bearings repacked. Back then I wasn't into doing my own maintenance that much..

Saw the mechanic take my wheel bearings out, lay them on a dirty (and I'm sure gritty) concrete floor and then just add more grease and put them back in..

Brought it home pulled the bearings back out, cleaned all old grease (and grit the mechanic added) out with solvent and repacked.. Great motivator and major reason I started doing my own maintenance.
