Ok, shes going under the knife for real tomorrow. Spent the better part of this afternoon/tonight getting the front off of her. Got a pretty big (heavy) pile of trashed parts already, and i havent even taken off the hood. Going to paint everything that needs to be painted tomorrow, and then get the hood off and start fixing the rad. core support. Ill tell you one thing...she looks really cool without a front bumper. The approach angle is soo much better. Im starting to get real ideas/plans in my head for the custom bumper. I think im gonna like the looks of her much better when im done. This is how far i got with a casual hour of tinkering. Im thinking of sawzalling the two fangs off that are hanging in front of the tire for better approach angle. It might look a little goofy if i dont. And oh yeah...i thought all you poor northern/salt belt guys would enjoy oogling over my factory inspection marks on the frame... -J Just realized how long ive been driving around with a jacked up truck...me and my girlfriend broke up (maybe she got scared off by my driving?), so now i have all this time and money to spend on myself and the trooper...its great!!

Ok, so this weekend, my dad and i had a wrench-a-thon and got my truck fixed. We got the 85 grill on, the lights all wired up, the hood on, 85 bumper on, oil changed, CV boot changed, tuned her up, and had her on the road by sunday night. Felt great to drive her after 2 weeks of downtime. Make note, the '85 bumper mount and the '90 bumper mount are not the same. Dad had to bend the '90 mounts all different directions to get them to go in the holes for the 85. Without further adieu.... Some poser shots taken this afternoon. She doesnt look as intimidating as she used to, but after the homebrew bumper im gonna make, she'll look alot better. The round headlights just arent as mean looking (to me) as the old square ones were. Seems that i am bad luck as far as driving....Right after i get my truck done, and about 2 hours before these pics were taken this afternoon, my best friend slid his 88 Prelude sideways at about 65mph into 3 (three) trees right down the road from me. He only needed 10-15 stitches in his knee and elbow... Ya'll be careful out there...you never know what is around the next bend! -J

Looks good, glad you got it back on the road. I noticed a few things that are needed to make things just right.
1. Bumper, that one looks like crap 2. off-road lights, will add some "beefiness" to the look 3. Roof-rack, you need a Con-ferr or Yakima rack up there on top.
other than that it's looking really good

Yeah, Jordon, excellent job!! Really glad to see that you've revived your Trooper to an even better state. And, yeah, the round-eyed grill is most excellent.
Good to hear also that you have such a wonderful father. You two seem to work together exceptionally well. I'm envious.
Lastly, yeah, those fangs will have to go I'm sure when you build that new high and tight bumper.
