Why electric? I have a 14 inch electric but only so I can turn it off when mudding. It wont cool any better, and probably worse since you wont have a shroud. Also, my fan blade and shroud was broke and it would have cost just as much to replace them through Toyota as it was for the electric fan conversion.
over heating problems are most probably caused by a bad head gasket, clogged radiator, or a bad water pump.
