It's all fun and games until someone lets the lawyers in.
Boy Howdy. The frustrating thing is that we've never had a claim... We've discussed before the reasons why the prices went up -- IIRC, you schooled me on it the last time with some updated info from Colorado adventure-related business. Thanks for that, BTW, there were some pieces I did not have that added substantially to my overall understanding when fit into the larger puzzle.
What if everyone just shows up and pretend they don't know each other?
It may come to that... that's all I'm willing to post for now. If the non-profit doesn't have an event this year, that'd be fine with me -- if the time for the non-profit is through, that's OK, too... times are definitely changing. We're in no rush to permanent decisions -- the trick is to make a balanced decision for this year without closing too many doors for future years.
Thanks for the good words, and never fear, I will keep my ass well-covered (I hear a unison sigh of relief from across the land on THAT visual). The event is near and dear to my heart, but I'm a big fan of making sure my collection of toys stays in my care, which was one of the reasons we created the non-profit in the first place, somewhat in parallel with the insurance and agency relations.
I am certain of one thing: I will be in Moab the third weekend of May for 2006 and 2007, guaranteed. Whether I wear an 'Event Staff' shirt is yet to be determined, but I'll be there, and I'll be 'wheeling.
