If you look at the pics of both they look really close. I do know that Peugot is a french gearbox and the Aisin is a Japaneese gearbox but like alot of other AMCs, Who made the bellhousing?

Basically I am not convinced that the bellhousings for these two internal slave dsigns are not one and the same (and made by ? Chrysler).
