If you do any service work talk to Leanna, she is very nice and seems to know her stuff.

That is rediculuos for a clutch job. Mabey 200 in parts. Takes them about 45 minutes to do. And the valve cover gaskets are super easy to do your self. They are about 15 bucks a peace. I am so amazed at what they charge for this stuff. Toyota motors are so logical in how they come apart. I just pulled the entier motor and tranns from a tercel and put a new clutch in it and put it back in by myself in half a day.

You might try switching to Redline MTL synth fluid for the tranny shift problem. That helped me on the mini I had. The plugs can be in pretty tight so make sure you can loosen both the fill and drain first elst you end up with an empty xmission you can't refill. It's around $7/qt.

45 minutes to do a clutch or a clutch bracket? if you can do a clutch in 45 minutes, i will pay you to do my 4runner.

don't forget that some dealerships are close to $80/hour now for labot. that adds up fast.

Body Damage is Cool
For comparison, I got valve cover and intake gaskets yesterday plus a TB gasket for 171 and change on a 25% TLCA discount. The intake gaskets listed at 61 each.

I never bothered replacing the intake gaskets, FWIW.

I've wondered if it's asking for trouble refreshing everything at once, but it'll be open but with my luck I'd bend one before it got reinstalled. If what's there really looks good I can put them toward the injector or rail that's leaking.
