keep in mind that none of the twin sticks on the market are designed to work with a single t-case.

the straight up shifters will interfere with the transmission shifter.

i had to make one with funky bends in the handle to clear the transmission shifter

When I read your first sentence I wanted to cry foul, but you are 100% correct about shifter interference. Good call.

And not hard to do with a MAPP gas torch. Just make sure no plastic parts are still attached.

For most of us it's a gadget. Kinda like when I want the car salesman to go away and leave me alone when I stop to get parts:
"Hey, don't you want to get a newer truck? We've got some great new trucks, bet you've got a lot of miles on that one."
"Why would I? Solid axle, 3.4, lockers F&R, ..... , blah, blah, blah, 20 forward speeds, 4 reverse, take a look inside."

He glazes over right about then. Mission accomplished.

So, this buzzing has me a little concerned, I'm told they DO NOT want me to be any more nuts than I already am.

Loud buzz, minor buzz, did you try to dampen the buzz? I'm running BFG MT's and the road noise is macho loud, plus that NV4500's gear set isn't whisper quiet either.

If the twin sticks interfere with the transmission shifter, I'll make the necessary adjustments.

That may be true if your running a forward shift t-case. I have a W-56B with a top shift t-case and have no interferance problems with the transmission shifter.

Andy - As for the buzzing sound, it no problem if your driving around town but out on the freeway for an hour and you will go nuts. When Marlin rebuilt my trans, I asked him about the shifter noise and thats when he showed me the twin sticks that he sells and said that it would be quiet. It has been for the last 3 years.

Chili Man - Don't forget to show them the FF rear axle. Drove my parts man crazy when I told him that I have manual locking hubs on the rear and LC brake parts.

At Chili Man's recommendation I put a wavy washer between the sticks on my FROR twin stick. Unfortunately I cannot tell you if this has helped at highway speeds or not.

I took this quote from Marlin's site:

"Twin shifters can not be used on a single transfer case behind a W56 C or D model transmission but can be used on the rear case of a dual case setup on these transmissions."

I suppose this is because of transmission shifter interference. Apparently A and B versions are OK. I don't have a W56, but am curious as to how many W56 versions there are.

I like the curves, Napoleon!
