Hey gang, I've been out of town for the last 10 days, mostly for work but I did get to swing thru Yosemite for a day.

I spent most of my time stalking this coyote as he stalked a rodent.

Overview of Yosemite valley, that's "El Capitan" on the left which is 3,600 feet strait up to a elevation 7,500.
Bridalvail Falls center and you can't see Half Dome, covered in clouds.

Those are some amazing photos. The last one of the valley is excellent. I have to find a way out to Yosemite at some point in the near future.

dude, not much snow there this year wow! I grew up outside of Planada, about an hour drive from Yosemite - and don't recall it being that dry in January ever!

I've been there once when I was about 10. Made the mistake of jumping in the river there. We stayed in one of the cabins, had the little squirrels coming up to the door for food. We could see people climbing one of the rock formations there sleeping hanging from the wall. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> Very cool place I'd like to make another trip out there one day, do some mountain biking.

Mariposa, BTW the best breakfast place in Mariposa is called Pizza Plus. I thought it was strange that a pizza place was making breakfast. If it's good enough for the Sheriff it's good enough for me.
