Getting the Wheeling Fever
I did a search and found no results. Has anyone with the 05/06 or any newer model year Tacoma had problems with the brightness of their headlights? The reason i ask is that while driving at nights i have people who flash their high beams on and off at me while we approach one another. People must think my high beams are on and are trying to tell me by flashing their high beams at me, so in return i do a brief on/off with my high beams to show them i am driving with my low beams on. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to correct this with out having to go to a stealership. I have changed my headlight bulbs to ones with the blue tint to them, thinking this would help on the eyes of passing motorists. Any and all help is appreciated.
Chris

Were people flashing before you changed the bulbs?

The blue tint bulbs usually produce more glare and may cause oncoming traffic some glare.

But, most importantly, have you checked your headlight aim?? If you headlights aren't aimed correctly, people will flash you all day...

Yes they flashed me before i changed to the blue bulb's. People don't do it all the time.

I have two sand bags each weighing 60 lbs , directly over my axle for traction. My wife thinks it's because i carried cargo( groceries, birdseed, whole kernel corn for the deer, etc ) near the tailgate in which raised the front of the truck. I'm going to have to make a mental note of when people flash me. I was just wondering if it's Toyota's in general that have bright headlights? Thank you for the input.

When I have my dirtbike and gear in the back of my '99, I get that problem a lot....especially down the highways without a bunch of other motorists and street lights. I got new headlights for mine (the ones that look more like the lights on an '01-'04, no more frosty and yellow-tinted composite lense), and had to adjust them a bit lower than usual to keep that from happening.

How Ironic, I too have a 99' and haul bikes often. People flash me when I have a load at night, especially if I have 2 bikes and a days worth of gear (rear suspension almost bottomed).

Ya when I have two dirtbikes plus gear in the back, it's riding pretty low with maybe a maximum 2 inches of travel before the bump-stop in the back.

Can you load two MX bikes in the back of your Taco?? I'm in the market for a new Yamahauler, and I am a bit curious if you can, in fact, haul two 125/250/450cc bikes in the bed of a Taco! I'm debating whether to get a Tacoma or a Tundra for this purpose.
