Just enough to wet the appetite anyway, lol! I'll take more after I get my new tires and wheels on. The ones on there now are all "spare" quality. They're 33x9.5 BFG AT's, all fairly well worn, but do a some tread left. ![[Linked Image]](http://home.comcast.net/~tzkhelrick/jpgs/sas/sas1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://home.comcast.net/~tzkhelrick/jpgs/sas/sas2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://home.comcast.net/~tzkhelrick/jpgs/sas/sas3.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://home.comcast.net/~tzkhelrick/jpgs/sas/sas4.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://home.comcast.net/~tzkhelrick/jpgs/sas/sas5.jpg) There's a few more on my web page

It's a G52 tranny/case setup If I do a dual case (OK, probably make that a when! lol!), I may swap that for a W56, unless the forward shift is easily adapted to the dual. But that's a ways off for now. I still have yet to get the "virgin" run in on it!

Before you do, better brace those spring hangers or you'll get to do them over - or worse. Weld some material tying the body mount above the hanger to the hanger top and you should be good. ...unless the forward shift is easily adapted to the dual The front case can be either top shift or forward shift, it does not matter. In fact, if your existing case is forward shift and you use it for the front reduction box, frankly it's easier to keep it fwd shift.

Thanks Bill! I'll get that done next time I'm up there. For what I do with it now, it'll be fine (mostly on-road driving), but I'll make sure it's done before any off-highway driving. Better to be safe than sorry, especially in the case of something holding your rig up!

You bet. Looks like a good job. Interesting use of Chebie parts.

Looks like your ubolt plates are already bending? Or is that just an illusion from the camera?
Brian K. Gallus I have nothing important to say.

Ol' Eagle-eye Gallus spotted a definite problem. They need to have used 1/2" plate, not 1/4". Those will DEFINITELY bend with even light use, unless you don't tighten your U-bolts to spec, which would NOT be recommended esp. in the front.
Ax me how I learnt this one... They should warranty both the spring hanger braces and the U-bolt plates IMHO. I would if it were me at least. I see the U-bolt itself is bent (outboard passenger). Those U-bolts should be 5/8s as well IMHO, though if they are at least 9/16s they would probably work with a better plate.

My intention is to do a Zuk dual coil in the rear, which will take care of that axle, and I also intend to replace the front one as soon as I figure out why I get a bit of "death wobble" when I hit a manhole cover with one side. I'm sure it's a shim adjustment, just a matter of how much. But to put everyone at ease, I've only driven this once since I got it back. I won't drive it much until I get those things mentioned fixed. Thanks for the notes! Todd

And to think....you've only been talking about doing the upgrade from 2wd to 4wd for what.....3 years? Im proud of ya for following through Woody! Looks good, and the advise you are getting couldnt be coming from better sources (Mr.Bill and Brian).
After you do up your dual transfers etc and run out of things to do...we'll turn you into an EFI junkie!
