Looks great! I like the low lift height of the truck. I am sure that there will be some minor bugs to work out but overall I think it looks fantastic. The front case can be either top shift or forward shift, it does not matter. In fact, if your existing case is forward shift and you use it for the front reduction box, frankly it's easier to keep it fwd shift.
Bill I don't personally think that one is easier than the other. Regardless of which front case you use you have to partially disassemble it to change the shift forks.

That is pretty cool. I've always wanted one of the xtra cab longbeds, but they didn't make them 4wd (as far as I know). I had dreams of buying a 2wd and doing exactly what you are one day.
Nice job.

Hmm my dreams are of an ext cab on a SWB frame with a front and rear bobed bed <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />. But to each their own I guess <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />. Really nice truck though, I think that is sweet. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> Now show us the pics of it after you roll it down a mountain <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />.

That'll have to be a sand dune for ya. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Not too much in terms of mountians here. And the hills we do have are all tree covered. I'll start off taking it easy so I can learn the limits of, well, me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> then I'll get to know how the truck handles <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> Just a few things to fix/adjust before I take it out wheeling though.
I like the fact that it is "low" (I still need to stretch my leg a bit and grab the wheel to get in). I didn't want the truck to be difficult to get into. Kinda take the fun out of it. Well, just a little fun. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />

Looks Awesome! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Welcome to the Four By world.
I like the lower lift look as well. Wish I could get mine down there. I noticed that the 2WD frame seems to be much more suited for SAS than our 4WD IFS frames. Notice how the front frame arch is much higher, almost like the factory SA trucks.
I noticed you plan on adding coils to the rear leafs to make up for the additional weight out back. As someone who carries quite a load in the back myself, I found that a good set of custom made Alcans worked well keep things level and it flexes very nicely off road when I need it too. I just wonder if the coils will hurt articulation.
My weight is pretty constant. If yours varies, what about adding some airbag boosters, then you can deflate and not affect rear articulation when you need it.

More pics with my new TrXus M/T's! ![[Linked Image]](http://home.comcast.net/~tzkhelrick/jpgs/sas/sas11.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://home.comcast.net/~tzkhelrick/jpgs/sas/sas12.jpg) First impressions of the TrXus are good! They feel smoother down the road than the BFG A/T's. I get less bounce going over the bumps. Road noise isn't much - and this is coming from someone who has only run A/T's as the most agressive tread. I'd recommend them at this point. We'll see how they last, etc.

Yeah, from the tcase perspective one is not easier than the other. From the owner's perspective however, who already has a forward shift tcase in a W56 designed for same, just keep it fwd shift, it's easier. Sorry, I could have been clearer.

My ZUK dual coils don't hurt articulation at all, course, I'm runnin the stock spring pack with 12 inch coils.....as long as your coils are big enough or you use some of ZUK's spacers, it shouldn't hurt articluation at all.
