What are ya working with for an engine? Running a header(s) or stock manifold(s) with downpipe?

For 22R-E's I found the stock manifold and factory style downpipe are every bit as good as a header. Plus they require less maintenence (retightening hardware-replacing gaskets). From the cat go with a full 2" ID pipe into a 2-1/4" in/out muffler (I use Holley "Raptors") then exit the system using 2-1/4" ID pipe. Try keeping the bends and turns to minimum for best flow and performance.

Just my $.02 maaaaaan......

I agree with the 2.25. for me it didnt add much if any power, but it did open up the RPMs and helped the engine run much smoother in the high RPMs.

i figure a 2"because my bender can do that, and a flow master 80, should do me fine

I chose 2" for similar reasons. I had almost all the material on-hand since I put the same size exhaust on my VW. And it was easier to run 2" since I could fit it between the body and frame with a 1" body lift. Now I could run a larger exhaust, but 2" works fine for me.
