i agree with valley and sunder on this compleatley. i belive it was a ford designed engine that both jeep and gm used.they were terrible engines the didnt last long before stuff went. tell your friend he may be better off with a 4.3 if the bolt pattern is the same on the trans as the 2.8.


This is the same engine as used in late 80's early 90's CHev Lumina and Beretta. Guy i knew took a 2.8 out of his XJ and dropped it in his Beretta, said it was a direct bolt on. Yeah right <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
