I just wanted to ask all you other Chevy guys how you felt. This is a 4X4 forum and we hardly talk. Mainly us Chevy guys too. We got the Toyta gang with more post. So I just figured I'ld try to get the ball rolling and see if we can get more popular.

OK, lets start with you.

What's the Chevy V-10 you have listed in your signature line? I work at a Chevy dealership and I've never heard of one.

In 1987 Chevy switch from carborated to TBI and this was the first year. So Chevy classed it as a V series. It had the 1973-1987 K series body but it had the 1988-1991 TBI 305ci and 350ci engines in them. So sometimes buying parts can be a pain. But I swaped the 305ci TBI engine it had with a 305ci race engine I built. It now have a singel plane high rise intake, flat top pistons, .5" lift comp cams cam, holley 4 barrel, high flow water pump, 6 blade flex fan, pro mag push rods, and other goodies.

That's funny. I realized what it was about 1/2 an hour after I posted my response. I felt a little silly.

One of the guys at work just bought an eaton e-locker for his 89 Blazer. Pretty cool stuff.

nice, I like detroit tru-tracs myself but its a mid range locker ya know. I just put new poly urathen bushings in for my front leafs because the old ones where dead until I get my tax return. Then I'm going up to a 6" tough country lift. You can get one for a solid axle at suspenionconnection.com for like $550.00.

Yeah, he went for the high dollar 6" lift from Dever[sic?]. It's a truely sweet set of springs. You can actually push down on the corners of the truck with one hand it it moves a lot. I think he paid $800 per axle, I could be wrong.

The really sick part of this guy's truck is the fact that he hasn't even gotten it dirty since he started doing all this buildup. He has the most built rig I've ever put my hands on and it never leaves the pavement. He claims that it will, but I kinda doubt it.
