finally got around to doing it! put a rear axle from a 96 trooper under my 94 amigo, gained about 5" in width. Put 1 1/2" wheel spacers up front to somewhat even it out. Looks awesome...will post pics soon

My guess is wider stance. Narrow is never a good thing.

I'm currently running a 2" body lift and a 3" calmini lift with 285 75 r16 Goodyear MTR'S. Having a wider stance definately adds to the stability of the vehicle on and off road.

Sounds cool. Another option would be to switch to 33x12.50s and 10" wide rims/less backspacing, that'll push the width out a bunch.
