I've rebuilt an early 22r motor... I think it is an '81 or '82 motor - It had the dual timing chain, as well as the main bearings which match the 81-82 years... So kind of a stupid question, but because of the dual timing chain, does that require a distributor from those specific years? The engine I rebuilt did not come with a distributor, and I'm having trouble tracking down a distributor from an '81 or '82 truck... Will any of the celica distributors swap with the truck? Did the celicas have dual row timing chains from the early 80's? Better yet - does anyone have a spare distributor (dual row t-chain) that they're looking to find a home for?
