i'v been warned by edelmann that welding on an adaptor may not be a good idea. ~2000psi for power steering.

Will lines from a 1993 T work? There's one here fully intact. Not sure what's left though...

Brazing would probably be a better option. Stronger than welding and doesn't affect the base metal.

thanks...still dealing with this line.

i'm gonna take it out, and stop by a hydraulic line shop. out of 10 local shops, this is the only one that claims to be able to handle the 10mm hardlines.

well after about a month of searching, i found a shop that made me a hose by brazing connectors on the hardlines at both ends. so i'm reusing the oem connectors at the ends. they then made the rubber line to give the needed length. i'll see how the install goes this weekend...don't expect any problems.

the standard hydraulic hose places (typically industrial) couldn't deal with metric, nor many auto applications.

the shop that finally was able to braze on the universal connectors (JIC) sort of specializes in radiators...so perhaps brazing is one of their skill sets.
