hmm....consider the strength of the ranger rear axle(i doubt it was an 8.8", since they only came in the fx4 package to my knowledge) and consider the strength of the toyota 8". i can almost guarantee that will never happen towing a uhaul in a yota if the gears are set up right unless you are reving the truck up to 5k and dropping the clutch.

seriously though my dad towed a 5x8 foot uhaul trailer fully loaded from virginia beach to florida WITH HIS 05 4 CYLINDER ACCORD! you think you cant pull that w/ your truck? im still not sure if he had trailer brakes though, and it was all flat ground. but his car stops on a dime on w/o the trailer b/c its 4 wheel disc.
